Important details and advisements
- Check-in and boarding. Arrive at Marina del Sur (Gate 3) no later than 15 minutes before your trip. It leaves you time to check-in, and get seated in your seat or VIP bed just before we set sail.
- What to bring. We suggest packing a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. A waterproof phone case is also useful if you want to get close-up shots of dolphins and whales.
- Motion sickness tips. For those prone to seasickness we recommend that you take a travel sickness tablet approximately 30 minutes prior to departure. Some guests have shared they feel unwell on rougher days (especially in the afternoon) so having a light snack and hydration prior to the trip can help.
- Children and families. Children aged 2 and under are eligible for a free tour, and we provide discounted prices for ages 3–11. Front VIP Balinese beds for adults only.
- Seating and VIP upgrades. You may lounge in our large shaded seating area, or upgrade to one of our Balinese beds to take in the extra-luxurious experience. VIP tickets offer a bottle of cava, towels and priority boarding. Although many guests reserve in advance, some have paid for upgrades once on board and loved them.
- Hotel transfers. We offer round-trip transfers from most hotels in South Tenerife and selected points in the North. Guests frequently compliment our air-conditioned buses and punctual pick-up service.
- Wildlife sightings. We see pilot whales and dolphins often on our cruises (some come all the way up to the boat!) Though we cannot guarantee sightings, our crews adhere to respectful observation guidelines, so they always do their utmost to make it happen.

Your day begins with ease. Our tour includes hotel pick-up in South Tenerife, Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz and Candelaria. Once you have made a booking we will confirm the nearest pick-up point from your hotel or apartment and then send you your time of travel. Five Star provides air-conditioned mini-coaches for your convenience, driving you to the marina in smooth comfort before sailing smooth seas ahead.

We set course for the waters between Tenerife and La Gomera — one of the best places in the world for spotting pilot whales and dolphins. During sightings of marine life (quite frequently!) the crew will drift at a comfortable distance so that you can observe and photograph without disturbing their natural behavior.
Sighting them is not a sure thing, but it’s remarkably frequent — and always unforgettable.
Weather permitting, we drop anchor in one or two remote bays — often Diego Hernández, or Playa de la Tejita. These are some of Tenerife’s hidden gems, with turquoise waters and soft sand.
You’ll have 45 minutes to 1 hour to swim, snorkel, or float with a drink in hand. Ladders mounted to the back of the catamaran and freshwater showers allow you to rinse any sea salt away before reboarding.
You are looking at the horizon.As we sail, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of Los Cristianos, Playa de las Américas, and Costa Adeje—all from the unique perspective of the ocean. We’ll sail past dramatic cliffs and sea caves, and the landmark Punta Rasca lighthouse, with its familiar red and white stripes.
There’s something to photograph at every turn — this is just as much a visual tour as a relaxing one.
It takes us 3 or 4 hours (depending on your choice of tour) to slowly make our way back to Marina del Sur. And from there our team takes care of getting you back to your hotel zero stress and lots of new memories.

What an unforgettable day! The crew were absolutely brilliant — friendly, fun, and made everyone feel at ease. The catamaran itself was beautiful and really comfortable. If I go again (which I probably will!), I’d definitely treat myself to a VIP day bed, though the regular seating was still great. The sangria really was unlimited — no exaggeration! As a solo traveler, I felt completely welcomed, and it was easy to connect with others on board. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
